Question 4:
Who would be the audience for your media product?
FROM
my research on UK Tribes, I found out that I had an

audience.
THEREFORE,
I had to make sure that my media product fitted into the category of an urban audience, which I done so by following certain conventions, such as:

I dressed my artist in urban, streetwear clothing that can be easily recognised by my target audience.

Supreme top, a brand commonly worn by my audience
Nike shoes, brand widely recognised and famous for 'urban' shoes.

For my urban audience, I made sure I used urban language that attracted and connected with my audience, so that when people looked through my magazine it was clear who was the audience for my magazine.

I used grime-related language all throughout so my magazine could become familiar with its target audience, thus showing that my media products audience would not consist of those unfamiliar with slang and the world of Grime.
UK Tribes conducted their research in two ways: QUALITATIVE & QUANTITIVE
QUALTITVE-
Desk research - Depth Interviews - Expert interviews with marketers, media, event promoters, - Video and picture diaries - SMS-derived insight
QUANTITIVE-
Online survey called Find Your Tribe- disseminated through relevant blogs and online media - Data gathered on youth preferences across over 250 brands and media, plus on lifestyle attitudes and habits.
TWENTY-FIVE
tribes later, my audience can be identified as 'urban', who dress in STREETWEAR, listen to GRIME and HIP-HOP, spend a lot of time on the INTERNET, and keep up to date with their favourite UNDERGROUND ARTISTS.
